Yachtan – Ocean Special for the legendary Route du Rhum 2026
Yachtan is a knife designed for a project connected to one of the world's most demanding ocean races – the Route du Rhum 2026. This unique model won a competition among the elite of the Czech knifemaking scene and will serve as a reliable companion for the skipper on the open sea. The knife was donated as a sponsorship gift to support this extreme project. Every detail was created with a single goal: to uncompromisingly withstand the harshest marine conditions.
Blade: Stainless strength with a rope saw
The blade made from premium N690 stainless steel offers outstanding resistance to the corrosive environment of salt water and excellent edge retention. It is equipped with a special saw designed for the lightning-fast and reliable cutting of rigging ropes or straps in crisis situations where every second counts.
Handle: Sure grip, blue accents, and tritium light
A durable handle made of G10 material with an obsidian anti-slip texture ensures an absolutely firm and secure grip, even with wet hands or in stormy weather. Fine blue lines are incorporated into the handle, creating an elegant design connection to the water element and the ocean. Integrated tritium capsules glow continuously for up to 25 years without the need for charging, so you can locate the knife immediately in the darkness of the cabin or during a night voyage. The overall concept is complemented by beads made of Fluo material, which glow intensely and for a long time after being exposed to a flashlight or daylight.
Neon yellow sheath and fluorescent details
The knife is protected by a distinctive Kydex sheath in an unmissable neon yellow color, decorated with topographical elements that perfectly complement the overall marine design. The sheath ensures quick orientation and rapid drawing during night shifts.
